Gluten Free Golden Christmas Pudding



CUK logo blueThis is one of my favourite Christmas pudding recipes ever. It tastes fabulous and is Gluten-Free, so, everyone can enjoy it.


  • 110g raisins
  • 75g sultanas
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 small apple, grated
  • 175mls cider
  • 50g runny honey
  • 50g cornflour (gluten free)
  • 100g rice flour
  • 50g soft brown sugar
  • 50g chopped dried figs
  • 50g pine nuts
  • 50g chopped dates
  • 50g currants
  • 50g olive oil
  • 50g candied fruits chopped optional
  • 35g flaked almonds
  • 2 tsp mixed spice
  • 2 medium eggs beaten
  • salt pinch or two

  • Soak all the fruit and carrot in the cider overnight.
  • Next day mix well then add the sugar, pinenuts, honey, flours, olive oil, candied fruit, almonds, spice, egg and finally salt.
  • Mix well and pack into a 2lb pudding basin.
  • Cover with greaseproof paper and foil and secure well.
  • Steam for 4 hours.
  • Remove and cool.
